I meet with my personal trainer,
Ben Crosswhite, once a week for about an hour. My workouts are pretty intense,
but I have grown to love them and learn a lot about what my body can really do
when it is pushed. Each week there is a bit of variation in the workout and
different targeted muscle groups, but my typical work out is as follows:
Warm-up: 15 minutes
on the treadmill at an incline of 2.5 degrees and at a speed of 2.9 mph.
TRX assisted squats:
3 sets of 35 reps, 30 reps, and 25 reps, resting between these sets is
typically another exercise like some of the following.
Barbell chest press:
2 sets of 20 reps.
Battle rope: 3 sets of 30 seconds, 25 seconds,
and 20 seconds with timed break between sets.
Resistance band
oblique twists: 1 set reps of 25 each side.
Kettle bell lat
pulls: 2 sets of 25 each side with 25 lb kettle bell.
Plybox Core Stability
with alternating high knees: 20 reps each side with a 3 sec pause/hold.
Cool-down: 15
minutes on the treadmill increasing the incline by .5 degrees every 30 seconds until
one-quarter of a mile distance and then decline by .5 degrees every 30 seconds
until half mile distance at 2.9 mph speed.

DeleteHow much is it to have your own personal trainer?
ReplyDeleteHey Kim! It honestly all depends on which type of training you desire. Private/Personal sessions start at $40 or more, while Tandem or Group Training (2 or more people) sessions start at $20 or more. I would refer you to http://www.crosswhitefitness.com/ for additional inquires.
