Healthy for the Holidays: Lynchburg Man Loses 279 Pounds

Lynchburg, VA - Season's greetings don't always have to mean over-eating. One local man has lost nearly three-hundred pounds, and he doesn't intend to let the holidays hinder his progress.

Joshua Wade has talked to ABC 13 before. He is one of several individuals in the Lynchburg community who has lost significant weight in the past two years.

Wade knew he needed to make a change when, at 26 years old, he became dependent on a cane to get around. “Something has got to give,” he said to himself as he left his orthopedic surgeon's office. “You're better than this.”
