Christmas Eve is tomorrow, and if you are like me, you have
already been in an onslaught with all the “Christmas Cheer” being spread around
the office, community, neighborhood, house, or family in the form of sweet
treats and festive goodies. We must remain strong! Going into the holiday with
a clear plan is how you remain strong when faced with temptation. Like I stated
in the blog post, Planning for Success:
How to Conquer the Holidays by Planning Ahead, “failing to plan, is
planning to fail.” That saying could not be any more crucial than the current
moment. Our families can be our greatest source of encouragement but during the
holiday season they can, unfortunately so, become our greatest enemies.
However, no matter how tempted you may be during the Christmas holiday, having
gone into the situation with a plan will help you stand your ground, firmly.
Like I did for Thanksgiving, I have
developed a plan after much brainstorming and thought that will help me conquer
the Christmas holiday and keep me on track for my weight loss goals. Therefore,
I am planning to bring my trusty blender for smoothies, my steadfast steamer
for veggies, and I am packing a variety of raw nuts, fruits, and vegetables to
take with me as well. Let me remind you, the key here is to not find yourself
hungry, thirsty, or alone, thus removing the potential for cheating. Secondly,
I have already planned specific time to go to one of the local gyms while I am
home and again, I am making it family time. The best way I can think of
spending time with family is to spend that time getting healthy. Together, let’s
be determined to conquer the holidays by having a holiday game plan!
I would
like to wish you a very Merry CHRISTmas and I hope you have a Happy New Year!!!
Thank you so much for coming along with me on my weight loss journey, I cannot
fathom being in this place of success without your support.
