WOW folks! Wow! I am completely humbled and ecstatic by the overwhelming response generated by the recent article released by WSET, Healthy for the Holidays!!! First, I am so thankful for everyone who supported me and encouraged me by following my journey thus far. Second, I feel exhilarated and inspired by all of the comments left by people who had read the story. Finally, the sheer thought that my story might have touched someone’s life and might have given them the motivation they needed to start their own weight-loss journey is simply AWESOME!!!
When I was originally approached about sitting down with Karissa from WSET, I was excited for the opportunity to share how I prepare myself to avoid the pitfalls of the holiday season. One of my greatest motivations for sharing this story with others, is to help them achieve what I have and to believe they could actually achieve it. By Monday evening, I remember telling a friend that something seemed different about this article – there just seemed to be a lot of buzz.
By the end of Monday, I was informed that the article had more than 38k views on WSET’s page alone. By the end of Tuesday, I was informed that multiple other news outlets had also posted the article from Baltimore to San Antonio. Moreover, my friends at the Wills Group informed me this evening by their conservative calculations; more than 60k people had viewed my story and potentially caught their first glimpse at Bubba’s Odyssey. Folks, that just plum blows this small-town boy’s mind!!!
I cannot accurately put into words how thankful I am for each and every reader of this blog, and what you have meant to me as I endeavored to do what seemed like the impossible, almost eighteen months ago. If you have started your own weight loss journey, I’d love to hear about it. Share your story with me on my Facebook page or Tweet about it and use the #BubbasOdyssey hashtag (links to Facebook and Twitter are in the sidebar). Thanks again, everyone!
Best,
Joshua "Bubba" Wade
